  • Introduction The Diploma in Pharmacy (D. Pharm) is a foundational course designed to prepare students for a career in the pharmaceutical industry and healthcare sector. Spanning over two years, this course imparts essential knowledge about pharmaceutical sciences, drug formulation, pharmacology, and the practical aspects of dispensing medications. The curriculum is structured to meet the standards set by the Pharmacy Council of India (PCI)&Maharashtra State Board of Technical Education (MSBTE)MSBTECode: 12306 ensuring students are professionally trained to serve in various pharmacy-related roles.


    Special Features of the course • Pharmacy plays a pivotal role in research and testing a molecule for a disease or disorder before it is available for treatment. Pharmacists are an integral part of the healthcare industry. It is a major segment of the healthcare Industry contributing to research in medicinal drugs as well as developing, manufacturing, and supply of medications in the market.
    • Pharmacists works diligently to assure the quality of medicines as per the regulations of Pharmacy Council. The Pharmacy sector is divided into different segments which includes hospital/clinical pharmacy, industrial pharmacy and Pharmacy Regulators, pharmacovigilance, community pharmacy, research and development and many others.
    • A Bachelor of Pharmacy degree is the gateway for entering the Pharmacy sector in the Medical and Health Care Industry. One who pursues this degree studies core subjects including Pharmaceutics, Pharmacology, Pharmaceutical Chemistry and Pharmacognosy.

  • Upon successful completion of the D. Pharmacy course, graduates will be able to:

  • Work under the supervision of licensed pharmacists in various healthcare settings.
  • Register as a pharmacist with the State Pharmacy Council and practice legally in India.


  • Eligibility criteria
  • Candidates must have passed 10+2 (Science stream) with Physics, Chemistry, and Biology or Mathematics as compulsory subjects.
  • A minimum percentage as per the guidelines of the institution or affiliating authority (generally around 45%-50%).


  • Intake The total intake capacity is subject to the approval of the affiliating board or university and the Pharmacy Council of India. Typically, institutions offer 60 seats per academic year.
